While many will argue that the global market has no use for a new supercar, the story excites us nevertheless. Enthusiasts will be more intrigued as the Endora SC-1 will reinvent the look of American and European sports cars produced in the 60s and early seventies. The German company that worked on this project took inspiration from the Chevrolet Corvette C6. The Endora SC-1 features a long hood, high-intensity-discharge headlamps and LED-fog lights in the front, two rear LED taillights, and a black painted diffuser that houses the back-up- and fog-lamps.
The coupe will be powered by a 6.2 liter Aluminum V8 engine that delivers 437 hp and 424 lb-ft (574 Nm) of torque. A more powerful version will be created. This will be powered by a V8 engine that can deliver 512 hp and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque from its 7.0 liters.
The range-topping model will get a supercharged version of the 6.2 liter V8 that will produce 647 hp and 604 lb-ft (818 Nm) of torque to the rear axle. Its engines are coupled to a six-speed-manual gearbox as standard. Offered as an option for the smallest V8 is an automatic transmission with six gears and paddleshift. The SC-1’s suspension is made from cast aluminum upper and lower control arms, transverse-mounted composite leaf springs and monotube shock absorbers on all four ends. Fitted as standard equipment are an electronic traction control and the Active Handling-system that checks the driving dynamics. It also comes with a standard set of 19 inch alloy wheels in the front and 20 inch rims in the back. The 20 and 21 inch rims are optional. [via - 4wheelsnews]
